3. The personal data we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with Desk2Educate. It may include:
- name, job title and organisation;
- email address and telephone number;
- your interest (for example individual subscription, paid pilot or brand partnership) and any message you send us;
- your contact consent and the date you gave it;
- subscription, payment and invoice information, where applicable;
- technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and information collected through cookies.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We do not normally store your full payment card details ourselves.
4. Information you choose to provide
Please do not provide sensitive personal information unless we specifically ask for it and explain why. Some information, such as details about health, neurodivergence or disability, is special category data under UK data protection law. We do not require it to join our waitlist or contact us. If you choose to share it, we will only use it where we have an appropriate lawful basis and an additional legal condition, and we aim to keep it to a minimum.
5. How we use your personal data
We use personal data only where permitted by law. Our lawful bases may include:
- Consent: to contact you by email or phone about the waitlist, subscriptions, pilots, partnerships and updates, where you have ticked the consent box. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract: to provide a subscription, pilot or other service you have requested, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and improve Desk2Educate, manage business relationships, keep our website secure and prevent misuse, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation: to meet legal, accounting, tax or regulatory requirements.
6. Marketing
With your consent, we may send you news about Desk2Educate, including waitlist updates, subscription launches, pilots, partnership opportunities and events. We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing, and every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing will not stop essential service communications about a subscription or payment.
7. Sharing your personal data
We share personal data only where necessary, with:
- Little Kanga Ltd, as our data processor;
- website hosting, database and technology providers;
- payment providers;
- email and communications providers;
- analytics providers, where you have consented to analytics cookies;
- professional advisers, accountants, insurers and lawyers;
- regulators and government authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not allow third parties to use it for their own marketing.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure the transfer is permitted under UK data protection law, using an adequacy regulation, appropriate contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for more information.
9. Cookies
Our website uses strictly necessary cookies, and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies and change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. See our cookie policy for details.
10. Data security
We and Little Kanga Ltd take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to people who need it. If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will take any steps required by law.
11. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, or longer where required by law. Waitlist and enquiry details are reviewed regularly and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, or when you withdraw consent and we have no other lawful basis to keep them.
12. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

13. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
14. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we have handled your personal data, please contact us at info@littlekanga.co.uk or becky@desk2educate.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it and tell you the outcome without undue delay, in line with the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
